Huskies Tie Mercy College in Men's Soccer

BLOOMSBURG-- The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team tied Mercy College of New York on Sunday, 1-1, in double overtime.

Mercy got on the board first when Michael Frimpong-Manso scored off a Gianfranco Bastone assist 4:45 into the game. Bloomsburg tied it up when Tom Kovack (Croydon/Conwell-Egan Catholic) headed in a crossed ball from Bryan Darby (Doylestown/ Central Buck East) at the 9:24 mark.

In the second half, the Huskies had 13 shots to two for Mercy, but could not score. In the overtimes, Bloomsburg held a 2-1 edge in shots.

For the Huskies, goalie Jon Keller (Clarks Summit/Abington Heights) had four saves in the game.

The Huskies will host Shippensburg University on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
